The test methods TestOCI
All vestibular canals are in the same liquid space, and thus testing one and treating all on the same side is practical.
The most sensitive test is Rahko test for superior or anterior canal.
Test as follows
Stand upright feet together
Tilt upper torso forwards 30 degrees
Keep eyes closed and stand 30 seconds
Repeat 4-5 times or sufficient amount
At some stage a slow movement to the right or left is seen; it may be small.
With increasing times, the movement increases (cumulation)
The slow movement indicates the side of treatment, not the fast voluntary compensatory
Then the treatment with Lempert,Rahko and Epley treatments of this side is performed.
Sitting in the chair with armrests is mandatory to allow the model fix in the brain system
TestOCI reveals, whether the dyslexic problems are consequences of the the eye movent disturbances on the basis of OCI
Two tests are performed.
1. The horizontal semicircular canal test
2. The Anterior ( superior) canal test
(The sensitivity of the Posterior canal test, Hallpike , is not sufficient to this purpose mostly, thus it is not necessary to perform)
First the horizontal, the anterior , superior canal are tested
The former is tested with RahkoWRW test , the latter with Rahko test ; if the posterior is tested Hallpike test is performed
OCI may be bilateral, and after treating the worse side, it emerges as diminishing of the result and is corrected doing the other side at sufficient intervals too.
The training must be adequate, and according to the specified process of this project.
There are often found marked blood vessel dilatation and some degree of blood pressure decrease as a consequence of the muscle relaxation following successful treatment. In cases this could produce risk, the opinion of the medical doctor is mandatory.
